In defense of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel pastor Rev. Matthew Gurkin

Sought-out guidance and prayerful decision by our pastor should be a feeling of assurance, not anger.

It was an oppressive challenge to Father Gurkin, in his obligation to lead the congregation. The Church Magisterium is his career. I admire his determination to meet that function despite the persuasion of the “really good men” in followup discussion.

I rally and thank the 44 years of the State Street Players and their contribution to OLMC.
