St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in New Hope (Solebury Township) held an “Undie Sunday” to honor Mother’s Day, collecting dozens of items for distribution through the Diocese’s Clare Project which operates in coordination with Catholic Workers in Kensington.
“What better way to honor the women in your life who always reminded you to wear clean underwear in case of an accident,” quipped Liz Oliver, senior warden. For equality’s sake, the church plans to hold an “Undie Sunday” to commemorate Father’s Day as well. “No ties, please,” said Oliver.
