MBIT’s National Technical Honor Society chapter welcomes new members

The Middle Bucks Institute of Technology (MBIT) chapter of the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) inducted a record 40 new student members.

The mission of the NTHS is to honor student achievement and leadership in career and technical education, promote educational excellence, award scholarships and enhanced career opportunities for the NTHS membership.

To qualify for nomination at MBIT, students must nominate by a professional staff member, maintain “A” average in his/her technical area, maintain a 3.4 average or better in all academic areas be a 200 level student or higher, exhibit good character and leadership, have a discipline record with no detentions or suspensions throughout previous or current school years, plan who pursue a career or college major in their technical field of study, and have demonstrated community service experiences.

In addition, John Gemmi, building contractor, was inducted as the honorary member of the Middle Bucks NTHS. The status of the honorary membership recognizes a supporter who has played an important role in developing a strong community partnership.
