More winter weather on the way

Posted

With Tuesday’s snow still on the ground in much of Bucks and Hunterdon counties, the region is preparing to weather another winter storm tonight into Saturday morning.

This second winter blast in four days isn’t likely to pack the same wallop as the first one, which dropped 5 to 8 heavy, wet inches of the white stuff on much of the area.

According to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly N.J., accumulations from this system are projected to be 3 to 4 inches for most of Bucks County and 2 to 3 inches in Hunterdon County.

The latest models from the NWS show the snow beginning after the Friday afternoon rush and ending early Saturday morning, though some snow showers could linger into the afternoon. In its wake, cold, dry air will settle over the region Saturday night.
