Not all convictions bar you from the military

Concerning Donald Trump being allowed to run for president (“Felons typically can’t vote. Can they run for president?” June 13), while the U.S. military has rigorous moral character standards, having a criminal record does not automatically disqualify you from enlisting in the military.

Waivers are granted on a case-by-case basis.
